Yes, well, thank god we (the UK) haven’t done anything over the recent years to damage that very relationship…

Sadly idiots in r/ukpolitics are constantly spreading disinformation about Europe and I’m guessing it’s happening elsewhere to. Shit like this might even be sponsored by Russia. Doesn’t make sense with current state of uk to want further isolationism

I sure hope he does (know that, or at least knows that he knows :)). A good proportion of his (Trump ass kissing) actions say otherwise.

It very much is but thanks to Brexitism which is from the same root as Trumpism the well has been well and truly poisoned.
Europe is part of the answer to both defence and economy. But a significant part of the population really believe the EU is some evil empire.

There is a good reason they are scrambling to re-nationalise British steel. It’s only a matter of time before Trump green-lights Russia to retake eastern Europe. It’s time for grown-up politics.

The britons are more than welcome. No hard feelings

Starmer knows it but whether he does it depends on his voters which doesn’t exactly make me optimistic.

Well, well, well, how the round tables.

Director of comms at “the People’s Vote” and a senior advisor to Ed Miliband? Good grief.

The UK already made its choice in 2016. You can’t make a U turn at your pleasing. Besides, he has no right to do that, as he won because the Tories and Reform split the right wing vote, not because Labour managed to win over the former brexiteers.

This is always the Guardian opinion. Whatever is happening is the reason the UK should join the EU. They never talk about what Britain needs to do to convince the EU that it’s a good idea and that Britain won’t just leave again after their next election nor do they understand that the EU isn’t just about the money.

I’d welcome UK back to the EU.
The main cause of brexit was a Russian social media ops from Prigozhin’s troll farm. The UK was somewhat naive about the Russian influence strategy back then.
Otherwise they have been solid and on the democratic side of the world affairs.
