There was talk on far right Irish Twitter about essentially taking over Vicipéid [not that this can really be done – see another user’s reply below] and making it conform to a far right worldview, which would not be hard since it’s not that active or strictly moderated. Open source Irish language projects are quite low on contributors, and even lower on ones with strong Irish.
I had a look at the history of the article and the NP propaganda appears to have been added when the article was created back in 2020. Based on the user page of the person who added it and wrote most of the article and the twitter account they’ve linked to they don’t seem to be connected to the far right. Apparently they live near Paris so maybe they aren’t aware or weren’t at the time that the National Party are Nazis. Either way it’s pretty egregious to have Nazi propaganda on Vicipéid like that with no context and it should be removed.
The text in the article isn’t great but seems mostly consistent with the English version of the article, although it’s obviously more limited;.
Fair play to whoever corrected that.

Maybe the as Gaeilge version just isn’t as up to date?
