      The geopolitical equivalent of ‘You can’t sit with us’. These people are fighting for their lives, but who cares right.

      We had one of those referendums in the Netherlands years back. The Russian interference was next level.

      In no way this should be a referendum decision… The government should either support it or not!

      The general public just isn’t informed enough, or just doesn’t care to inform themselves, to make decisions on complex issues. They often vote based on whatever happens to be on their mind—general frustration with the government, personal grievances, you name it. Add in the flood of disinformation (particularly from Russian sources) that bombards voters, and it’s a recipe for disaster. That’s why I don’t think referendums work for important decisions in today’s environment. Exhibit A: Brexit (which wasn’t even legally binding, nor won by a significant majority).

      The rest of the EU should be allowed to vote in an EU-wide referendum on kicking Hungary out.

      Hungary should have the power to decide anything european an it’s own, we need to get rid of the veto

      I don’t trust a general public that has been voting non-consecutively for Orban for 25 years.

      Hungary should make a referendum if they want to stay in the EU or not. The way they behave under Orban, it would be better to have them out.

      Im only for it , if it also says if Hungary should leave the EU. So they can fuck off.

      Just ask the questions, get yes and then leave.

      No… image if referendums were held when hungary wanted to join EU… or nato…

      Thats nonesense to request a general public opinion on questions like this even more so if theres a quota for the referendum to be valid!

      I think this is a stupid idea.
