Who in their right mind would travel to a country which has been detaining legitimate international travelers and extra-judicially deporting foreigners to a maximum security prison in a third country while defying court demands to return them.
This has everything to do with actions, not words.
I wouldn’t go to russia, north korea, or afghanistan either. Add it to the list.
For me to get from where I live to Los Angeles would involve about 18 hours of travel and transit.
Imagine undertaking that then being rejected at immigration for some arbitrary reason. Worse, imagine being detailed and in the ICE system.

I’m expecting a few around here this summer. I’m laying traps.
As an American… duh. The cheeto in chief is “running” the country like his businesses he’s bankrupted and alienating a lot of people, both domestic and foreign. I was in Paris and London last year and had a wonderful time and everyone was so kind. Your hospitality was outstanding and countries were beautiful. I’m sorry you’re dealing with this.
This summers lost profits from travelers is going to be insane. Can’t blame people for wanting to be safe. Don’t go.

As an American that lives in America, forget the rhetoric for a moment. Air travel in the US has become increasingly unsafe and dangerous. So, to be fair, even if you did want to visit you might not even get to set foot on the ground due to your plane exploding, or colliding with a helicopter. But Yea, we’re greatttttttttt….
Not just rhetoric, but also their actions, i know for sure, if immigration would check my socials, i would be put in solitary for a month before being sent to a work camp…

Not just the rhetoric, but for sure also the multiple accounts of European/Canadian visitors being detained for too long and too little reason.
Very misleading to claim it’s about what they’re saying rather than what they’re doing. They’re sending people with legal residence to concentration camps. They’re talking about sending citizens, and given their actions, that isn’t unlikely. But for every non-American considering visiting or legally working in their country, it’s already been established that you risk death in prison.
