In Switzerland. I feel is fine. They give you a lot of things there.

You tax rate is 12.97%. All other deductions add up to about 15% including 2nd pillar saving which is still you money just locked away for retirement.
I read that line as
100 hours are 55.56% of a full workload
Not driving your taxes

No your employer robs you. It is not just the Quellensteuer.
NBU: 4.4% nbu is pure fantasy
BVG: 4.4 is crazy since you barely even meet the minimum to have to pay into Pensionskasse!! No serious employer would do that for this amount of Bruttolohn.
here you can calculate it for bern. your qst are about chf 78 per month
Call the tax office tomorrow and ask them about it please
edit: did you get a private mail/letter from the Pensionskasse?
edit2: and also the 5chf bankspesen =)))

You earn 2405, 457 of which goes to the state (and some additional money to various insurances).
Thats not even close to 55%.

having trouble with basic math there? Are you paying 1200 in tax? Obviously not.

Honestly, given the government services and efficiency similar to Scandinavian countries… You should actually pay 55%

What’s curious to me is that the base salary for all the deductions is 3’300 while your bruttolohn comes out on 2’400something. What deductions do you have in your Bruttolohn? (I’ve never seen deductions in Bruttolohn but the I have never had a job with Stundenlohn so there might be a reason?)
Ask-For-Sources on
No, but that’s not what they did there anyway.
You paid 12.97% on CHF 3’524 (you can see that on the left in the same line) and if you calculate the number you get the CHF 547.05 tax deduction that you can see.
The 55.56% is in relation to the 100 working hours, meaning that 100%= 179.99 hours per month (full-time) and you worked 100 hours, which is 55.56% of a full-time position.
For 100% working hours (179.99 in a month), you would get CHF 6343.20.
As you worked 100 hours, meaning 55.56% of 179.99, you should receive CHF 3’524 gross salary.
Not sure why/how they got to the CHF 2’405.10 though.
And not sure why they deduct Bank / Checkspesen.
I am not an expert, but if you need more help making sure you aren’t getting screwed by your employer feel free to DM me.

To me it seems you worked 55.56% as opposed to 100%. I don’t think that is what goes to “the state”.
Obviously not?
It says right there: your Bruttolohn was 2405.10, and the Quellensteuer deducted was 457.05.
That’s around 19% of your Brutto pay check
I mean clearly not? Just read what it says?
Looks like you worked 100h which equals to 55.56% of 180h
55.56% was your employment rate.
Tax at source is 12.97% of your gross income. (As clearly state on the second to last column)
I have never seen that. Are you a foreigner working for a company that gives you an apartment and some cleaning or constructiom type job?
Looks like you should discuss this with the tax office.
If you use the quellenstuer calculator it says it should be around 78 chf per month.

Just check the table how far off that is.
Who is your employer? There is absolutely no way your employer reports that amount to the Canton. They would have already raised their brows.
