Dopo un viaggio in bicicletta di 13 giorni dalla Serbia, gli studenti in blocco vengono accolti a Strasburgo. La loro missione è di diffondere la consapevolezza della difficile situazione in Serbia alle persone in tutta Europa e di parlare con persone delle istituzioni dell’Unione europea. Europa, la Serbia ha bisogno del tuo aiuto!

Protests in Serbia started after a group of ruling party hooligans attacked students during 15 minutes of silence for 15 people who died in a tragic recently renovated canopy collapsed in Novi Sad. After the government refused to bring justice and arrest people who attacked students and stop massive corruption, the students rose up and started blockades of universities together with their professors. So, all universities have been shut down in Serbia for more than 5 months. Ever since then protests have been happening and theyve been massive with the largest one happening on the 15th of march with more than 300.000 people protesting. The government has been threatening these protesters with violence but people still havent given up at all. Serbia demands change in a corrupt government that has been taking away civil and political rights for 13 years. Serbia is waking up, and hopefully others will soon join Serbia in fighting for freedom and democracy all over the world. After 5 months of student blockades and protests they have shown huge energy and have literally started a people’s rebellion against the corrupt government. You have no idea how mobilised the Serbian public is right now, with Vucics base such as pensioners and football fans turning on him. Its very importaint that Europe finally stands against Vucic and help students which is why students went on a journey to strasbourg. Currently the national TV station owned by Vucic is under a student blockade, and there are protests all over the country. The students in Strasbourg will deliver a letter to EU officials about the situation in Serbia. Its very dissapointing to the Serbian people that just a week ago Vucic was received in Paris by Macron with hugs(almost like they were making love), same story with Ursula a couple of weeks ago. This is a critical moment for Serbia, Vucics grip on power has never been so threatened.
During these protest in Serbia students have frequently been walking on foot from city to city spreadinf the message of love and change and have been welcomed with food as liberators. Now they have been welcomed all over Europe. In Budapest, Ulm and other cities even the mayors visited them.
