I’m confused about the point of this article. A non governmental association lobbying for expenditure in their sector seems fairly run of the mill?

I also don’t understand the relation to the public opinion? It would be as obvious as saying vintner association raises cost of pints despite public wanting cheaper alcohol.

Can we please have a rule not to link to this particular website? Their founder is constantly posting anti-Ukrainian and anti-Palestinian propaganda and was literally drinking with C**** McG***** and Tucker Carlson in Drimnagh the other day along with the rest of the far-right. It’s clearly a far-right psy op website.

I fucking knew all those news articles and posts about how we need to be spending more on defence were being pushed by the arms industry. Cunts.

One thing we know is that they won’t have to spend much buting Irish politicians.

    6. Is this instance I’m going to assume lobbyists are essentially a salesperson trying to sell weapons?

I mean, yeah, everyone lobby’s in favour of their industry/sector. Only really an issue if there’s bribery or anything underhanded involved.
