I feel like a lot of these conversations puts the burden on schools, teachers, social media etc when in reality education starts at home. Isn’t it parents’ job to make sure their children learn good habits and keep vigilant about bad behaviour and influence in their lives?

I remember that 25 years ago Turkish and Arab teens didn’t respect female teachers as well. Thats not new. I just wonder that this lasted so long tbf.

If you want to establish causality it needs more than the assertions made in a survey. There needs to be a very honest look at what may be causing male students to be reluctant to talk to female staff. I’m in my 70’s and I remember in childhood that there was a difference in how we saw things and in adolescence it was more marked. There’s a bit more to it than blaming social media.
Kick them out of school. By refusing to talk to a woman they clearly demonstrate that they are dumber than plank of wood.
And can we put the Tate into prison? Or at least prohibit him from using computers? I remember when Mitnik was put in prison and banned from using computers for something as trivial as exploiting poorly designed phone system.
