Questo è il mio articolo sulla cultura marziale della regione di Sasun (armi, tradizioni, danza, ecc.). Spero che alcuni di voi lo troveranno interessante, è davvero unico in tanti modi.

Huh, if I remember correctly, ottoman law mandated that non-Muslims weren’t allowed to carry weapons so that fact that Armenians in the center of Anatolia were able to wield such an armament is quite surprising. I also didn’t know that dances like Yarkhushta came from the region though with context, it makes sense. I wonder, are such weapons preserved and can you find them at institutions like the Armenian History Museum? It is nice to know at least the production of the Najakh is preserved at the Ararat plain. And before anyone says anything, yes I know that armed gangs were common in the Ottoman Empire and especially in the Balkans but the fact that the Sasun Armenians were able to maintain some form of autonomy and keep their weapons despite being so close to the center of Anatolia were Ottoman power was at its strongest until the end of the 19th century is still quite intriguing.
Edit: nvm I reread the article and considering the geographic isolation, it makes sense why the Armenians were able to hold on to their weapons. Keep up the good work!!
