Sono venuto in Finlandia per quasi un mese e tutto sta andando davvero bene – sono a Helsinki. Il primo, e probabilmente l’unica cosa che non mi piace, che mi infastidisce e onestamente mi sento come l’inferno, è il processo di acquisto di un biglietto dei trasporti pubblici. Queste macchine non funzionano !!! In media, mi ci vogliono 40 minuti per acquistare un biglietto a corsa singola. All’inizio, ho pensato che qualcosa non andava nella mia carta, ma poi un passante mi ha detto che questi chioschi hanno spesso problemi con i pagamenti delle carte. Sì, ci sono passaggi giornalieri disponibili, ma devo viaggiare solo una volta al giorno. Tutta questa situazione rovina gravemente parte dell’esperienza di quello che sarebbe altrimenti un viaggio davvero fantastico. È la prima volta che ho mai riscontrato un problema del genere.

You did use a mobile phone to take this photo, right? Guess what else you can do with your phone? You can buy tickets with the HSL app. Super easy, takes 2 minutes at most.
Is there a reason why you’re not using the HSL app?
I had the same issue with the small kiosks (the ones that are in some of the tram stations) as well, and I swear they choose card depending on their mood for the day. Worst thing is that if you don’t have a Finnish mobile number you can’t receive the SMS to activate the mobile app, too. I just walk everywhere and refuse the struggle altogether.
They are removing those machines soon.
