Ah, glad to see the intense hatred of the freedom to protest by shitty governments isn’t America-exclusive

/s on the glad part in case it isn’t obvious

Who needs AfD when “moderate” conservatives will adopt their platform?

Deporting EU citizens? Good luck with that in EU courts…

Nie wieder. Yet happily and blindly supporting that does precisely what shouldn´t have happened again.

I never heard of an EU country deporting an EU citizen. Has that happened before?

Are those who vandalised a school and threatened the staff with crowbars during an occupation or are these other ones?

it’s crazy how people think it’s perfectly ok to go to a foreign country that’s not even theirs and start protests. It’s even crazier that losers will actually defend that behavior.

Ugh, Germany showing us **yet fucking again** how, despite being super-proud of all the measures (educational, legislative, etc) they’ve taken to distance themselves morally from the Holocaust, that they simply cannot tell right from wrong, and are falling down the wrong side of history **yet again.**

How fucking hard can it be? a) you allow free speech, and b) you don’t aid, abet, or support genocides?

It’s literally not rocket science. All their empty gestures about “cordoning off the far right” ring completely and utterly hollow when the supposedly moderate parties engage in the kind of bullshit that saw the nazi party coyly beginning their descent into ever more authoritarian behaviours.

What’s worse is that, even though the politicians themselves are of course scum, these measures are not exactly unpopular. On this very sub and others you’ll see proud Germans defend their country’s stance on Israel and the need to stop these “antisemitic” demonstrations.

Like JFC. They were wrong about Russia. They were wrong about Austerity. They were wrong about trusting the US (and many still hold the Atlantic bullshit). They were wrong about nuclear. They were wrong about Israel. Could they not simply admit that their moral compass is just completely broken and, like, take a step back in these things?

Guys…let’s get used to it. It’s Germany and it’s wrong. They somehow cannot manage it. Dunno why. They are always wrong.

I see Germany is no better than America, no matter what they claim

    10. As usual, Bullshit headlines. What’s so hard about putting the context and the facts in the headline instead of stripping them away to generate rage and clicks? We need a law against this Bullshit and hold these fucking “journalists” accountable. This is not freedom of press. This is bullshit baiting for money.

Now the headline implies so many things. When it could instead read “violent, vandalizing foreign protestors face deportation from Germany”

Because it has nothing to do with Palestine. Neither pro nor contra matters here. All that matters is that they are not German nationals (because you obviously can’t deport a German… To where?) and that their protesting (which is protected by GG, Grundgesetz) did unlawful things, like violence, vandalism, etc.

    11. Protests are not about making people feel comfortable and Germany has been so punitive to any pro-palestinian voices.

    12. “Vandalism” is the ultimate crime in EU apparently, it is fine to support a genocide though.

It is funny, a lot of EU countries made denying the Holocaust a crime but they are collectively denying Gaza Genocide.

One wonders how one truly deports someone to another EU country when Schengen is a thing but okay.
