It was such a surprise, and one of the best movies I’ve seen in months.

I may get downvotes for disagreeing but…
… it wasn’t great.
There were fun moments, good acting and a few nice set pieces but together it was all a bit messy. Far too long of a build up for far too silly and short of a payoff. Logic goes clean out the window any time two main characters need a heart to heart.
Still, I loved seeing some of our culture on screen and I love the positive reactions people are having to it. It’s not a masterpiece but if you go in with low expectations you may really like it.
I have to admit and I have no reason why this happens but keep hearing the title as “Shinners” 🤷
My mate and I saw it Friday, in imax, absolutely incredible film.
Only slightly outshone by my friend referring to it as ‘Django Unveined’ afterwards.
