In the occupied Luhansk region, 86 cadet classes operate in schools, while in Mariupol a military training center is being built on the site of a former children’s camp. More than 19,000 children have already been deported to Russia, where their identities and citizenships are changed. They are forbidden to return home and are taught to fight against Ukraine. Russia uses these children in propaganda events and sends them to military-style camps disguised as “recreation”.
