It’s been Ukraine’s stance that all invaded/occupied territories are ukrainian. That’ll never change.
How could Zelensky ever say that Russia own something that clearly is ukrainian? That’s not a mandate he has. He can agree to a ceasefire/peace but never any acknowledgment that any territory is russian. It’s the ukrainian people’s land and he has no right to simply give it to Russia.
