Sewage tank or rainwater tank probably
Might be a poop bunker
It could be a cesspit or septic tank. Basically, if you don’t have access to the sewers, waste water is stored in these tanks which have to be periodically [emptied and cleaned](https://www.arapustertal.it/media/1258/ara-kanal-003.jpg?anchor=center&mode=crop&width=1200&rnd=131879629680000000). Septic tanks differ from cesspits in that they partially treat the sewage to the point that the water can be safely passed into the soil (but the tank still fills up with solid waste and has to be emptied).
It might not be in use any more, if your house is now connected up to a municipal sewer.
