      Ye, no surprises there…

      AI bros have only themselves to blame. Not to mention million of companies putting AI hype.

      It is already abused, it will only be more abused and no number of laws will make a difference… As long as there are models / apps in open circulation.

      Get ready for generated porn of your mother / sister / teacher / etc (already a thing in South Korea), false evidence, extremely believable false profiles, more useless bots, even more dead internet flooded with infinite shit generated content, etc.

      I simply don’t understand how anyone can put the lid back on this. Everyone and every image is being processed for AI generators. It’s either ban them or this stuff will be everywhere forever. Regulators already can’t stop what already exists, can’t imagine what will happen when AI increases this type of content by factor of thousands. A sad digital future is ahead imo

      AI had to train against real data to produce those images… so if any of the AI has the capability to do this then I think there is a high chance they are being trained with CSAM content…

      It’s fucking terrifying. The next couple of years for anyone working in online trust and safety is going to be devastating. I feel like the watchdog doesn’t have a full grasp of this, and doing an informative programme for kids and parents barely scratches the surface here.

      At the start or the plagiarism machine crap they blocked the words to generate porn, then they realised the perverts were more inclined to pay for the AI crap and removed the safeguards.

      The rise in down syndrome AI onlyfans accounts just proves the fucked up types are all on board and happy to pay for it.

      And our minister for AI is/going to be useless, first interview in the job she said she didn’t know what it was, tech companies are gonna move her to a bigger house and they’ll try to roll back copyright protections.

      This is a Pandoras Box type situation. It’s scary. We’re at the point with tech now where just because we can doesn’t always mean we should.
