Fears of strikes or shortage in stuff to parade?
They have attacked a lot of military honour events in Ukraine, both real and imagined (or claimed that such took place where their missiles hit). And then (big brain moment) they suddenly realised that they declared their own parades to be legitimate military targets.

Clever propaganda. It works to make the population think that Ukraine would do that, which (further) gains their support for the war.
Edit: to clarify, I mean events with civilians, so an attack would harm civilians. There’s no benefit in attacking such an event.
