Turkey’s one of the main incomes is tourism. I believe European governments will not apply any sanctions to Erdoğan’s dictatorship because of Russia and refugees. But at least you can boycott Turkey’s tourism. It’s not cheap anymore and also it’s not safe and healthy as many news show what happened to Britons – many had health problems because of hygienic problems – economic problems always affect hygiene at the end. Also again because of economy, you will be ripped off by taxis, restaurants, hotels…just check Istanbul or Antalya…news from last year which are very disgusting.
I’m trying say that you have better options in the Europe like Spain Greece … Use them and don’t fuel the Erdoğans regime. Even if you are apolitical and don’t care about the evil doings of the regimes, at least think about your health and pocket. Lol there are even many foreigners in the prison because somehow police found out that they shared some negative comments about the dictator.
So take care and stay away from Turkey for a while please. I’m asking this as a Turk. Thanks.
They’re not really *boycotting* it exactly, they’re opting for cheaper destinations.
Definitely don’t do that.
I hope our Turkish friends manage to get rid of the scum in their gov, but crashing tourism mostly hurts local business. On the other hand, locals must be happy not to have to deal with Brit tourists. You guys are behaving like fucking animals, especially on your stag parties.
This sub is gonna run out places and countries to boycott soon lmao.
Sounds like clickbait , most Turkish tourists are from Russia or regional visitors afaik ; the largest European source of tourists is Germany and that is other Turks who are mostly Erdogan supporters.
This article is 3 months old. Antalya is a “ghost town” in the article because it’s January.
