A Front – 241st TDF Brigade, Bakhmut, dicembre 2022

The soldier is based on photos by Diego Herrera Carcedo (Anadolu Agency) featuring troopers from the 241st Territorial Defense Force Brigade as they made their way to the front around Bakhmut in December 2022. This piece had originally started as something based on the urban fighting around Chasiv Yar (hence the ground clutter), but I fell in love with the look of the guy carrying the RPK and changed the theme.

The gear is mostly from Flagset’s excellent Ukrainian 93rd Mechanized Brigade figure. The boots are by E&S; the sitting pad, ruck, and repainted RPK are from DAMToys. The patches and Kolchan mag pouches are custom made (thank you to Uswin Wood for 3D-printing the sidewalls).
