In the last major blackout here in northeastern Brazil, there was a fire on a transmission line and the secondary lines were shut down for safety. This could have happened. There weren’t many problems here because everyone was well prepared. I hope you come back soon.

“We have a bit more for you now from the Portuguese energy company REN (Rede Eletrica Nacional).
It says that “due to extreme temperature variations in the interior or Spain, there were anomalous oscillations in the very high voltage lines (400 KV), a phenomenon known as ‘induced atmospheric vibration'”.
“These oscillations caused synchronisation failures between the electrical systems, leading to successive disturbances across the interconnected European network.”
As we said in our last post, Spain is yet to respond to these claims.”

Andorra only affected for a few seconds as they switched to France’s network. Gibraltar not affected at all as they have their own independent network.
France, Spain, Portugal, and Italy affected.

Is anyone else having a hard time believing *this* is strange weather phenomenon is the culprit?
I’m more likely to believe it’s a cyberattack rather than the huge technological terms meant to throw us off track. The most realistic outcome is that with the incoming heat waves and spring-summer weather, the demand can also be a factor with overwhelming demand.
I’m listening to the official broadcasts on RNE and Onda Cero. None of the stations have mentioned this nor a cyberattack altogether.
They’re more focused on rescuing civilians trapped in elevators and trains.

OK, I am electrician with 10 years experience and physicist by education and I never heard about ‘induced atmospheric vibration’ in high voltage lines.

So I think I believe Spanish cybersecurity. But I guess we’ll see if more happens in the coming weeks.

I didn’t know Russians identified as rare atmospheric phenomenon but I guess I’ve learned something new.
They also identify as rare underwater currents that cut internet cables too….

OP linked an article but nowhere in it is said about this phenomenon. Go figure

They are lucky there was No Fires near Perpignan and Espelette Interconnections substations. But I still don’t buy the official story.

Joe Rogans most recent podcast with the CEO and CTO of Gladstone AI they talk about exactly this how in the past governments have blamed these events on “mistakes” without much investigation because if they say it was a cyberattack then the public will demand a response which is less convenient

This is the sort of thing someone trying to cover up a UFO event would say.
