Un fallimento dell’interconnessione tra le griglie di Spagna e Francia ha causato la massiccia interruzione di corrente che ha colpito la maggior parte della penisola iberica lunedì

The power outage in Spain and Portugal was caused by a failure in the interconnection between the grids of Spain and France, which is an extremely unusual event, possibly linked to a physical fault or atmospheric phenomena. This incident highlights the vulnerability of interconnected European power systems to rare grid disturbances. The same happened in Italy in 2003.
It was surreal, nobody knew what was happening cause nothing worked.
We knew what was happening through a little radio that i didn’t use since forever and there were like just two radio station broadcasting
This interconnecting the EU is doing is risky. We have a huge debate on this here on Norway now with undersea cables and whatnot. For preparedness sake it would be better if each country had their own separate grid. It will cost more but be way more robust.
Well what caused the failure?
So they could not synchronize between Spain and France, they dropped France and then the whole thing cascaded.
Shocking lack of redundancy in this day and age
Power grids are connected beyond borders
You are kids talking about TikTok ideas.
These are not real ideas

9 Months to population spike.
So we have to harden our critical European infrastructures and to have plenty of redundancies.
Just as as we said 3 years ago… Three. Fucking. Years. Ago.
What about Andorra? Were they blacked out too?
They said it was atmospheric vibrations or something. Okay, what was it?
