Irish Visiting Bratislava
Ciao a tutti,
Grazie in anticipo!

Hey, some tips are here: https://reddit.com/r/Slovakia/w/bratislava
You can search in this sub to find what you are looking for in Bratislava, but nonetheless I recommend you to check out some places outside of Bratislava, especiall Červený Kameň castle and Smolenice castle (if you like castles), Trnava, Piešťany and Trenčín (easily accessible by train) or Modra.
You might enjoy Uisce Beatha and I don’t mean it ironically. It’s a very lively and quite popular bar run (afaik) by Irish people. Take it as a Slovak-Irish fusion. Besides having a nice time there, you will definitely be able to get some more pointers from insiders of the local nightlife.
If you like castles then Devín and Červený kameň are both near Bratislava and especially the latter is beautiful. Obviously, the Bratislava castle is nice in it’s own right, but the exposition is not that great, so I would only recommend looking at it from the outdoors. The majority of the city centre is nice to look at, so take a walk around, don’t forget to cross the bridge and visit the Sad Janka Kráľa, the oldest and one of the biggest public parks in central Europe.
If you’re into a little bit of hiking, consider visiting Železná Studnička, a nice trail accessible via bus, only 15 minutes from the city centre or the old missile silo and lookout tower on top of Devínska Kobyla (here I would recommend only going if you have a rented car or taxi as it is a little difficult with public transport). In nice weather you can see for many miles from there.
As for gastronomy, try the obvious – Halušky – but I wouldn’t really recommend any bars in the pedestrian zone as they are all extremely overpriced and you won’t meet many locals there (if that is something you want).
Dia duit and Sláinte !
