      >European partners expressed their doubts to Secretary of State John Healey, as ensuring a constant presence of 25,000 soldiers over two years with rotations would require the involvement of approximately 256,000 military personnel.

I believe Militarnyi has got the numbers mixed up a bit — the original article by The Times said that this amount of personnel (256k) would be the total required to maintain a contingent of 64k servicemembers at any time, not 25k. See [quote](https://www.thetimes.com/article/726e3154-c716-4ab0-ab9a-3e9a44df3921):

      >Defence ministers are understood to have raised concerns about Britain’s ambition for a force of 64,000 in a meeting of the “coalition of the willing” on April 10. Discussions then continued in Brussels with a smaller group of defence ministers after the coalition meeting, where allies were more frank.

Close allies made their doubts clear to John Healey, the defence secretary, and pointed out that a force of that size would require a total of 256,000 troops on the ground over two years, accounting for rotations.

The same error is present in another, 2 hours older Militarnyi [article](https://militarnyi.com/en/news/the-times-europe-unable-to-gather-25-000-troops-for-deterrence-forces-in-ukraine/).

Don’t worry, Estonia, we’ll keep them safe! (Friendly joke, sorry).

I wish them the best. May they get the job done and come home safely.
