      “full blown panic”?

      Since 2008.

Yeah, I don’t really think so.

This is the most comical headline I have seen recently…

      Government… Housing… Panic

It would be nice if they were but actually they have been more focused on helping wealthy people pass on intergenerational wealth than housing for those non wealthy. Both FF and FG ran sessions on it near me in the run up to the election. Nothing on housing.

A brief glance at the first tranche of data from the last census shows why. One third (and rising) households own at least one household outright, one third (and falling) are mortgages, one third (and rising fast) are renters.

They have a permanent majority and don’t give a shit about the misery their greasy fumbling in the till causes.

This is the thing, in order for there to be panic the Govt would need to see the current situation as a problem. The housing situation is exactly where this Govt have put it. I say this Govt as they are now the one party!!

    5. In a recent conversation with a certain minister, he privately told us that peace in Ukraine will see mass building there, and government expects a mass exodus of Eastern European builders as money flows into Ukraine

I dont think the government is in a panic at all.

SF really need to start opening their eyes to the fact that the hosting crisis here is by design, not by incompetence.

Government don’t care about it, it’s all statistics to them. Once they get paid they don’t give a Bollox about it.

The only situation I could see a full blown panic happen is if prices actually came down.
