Scramblers are an absolute scourge on this city, and nation.

This policy of Garda not pursuing needs to be thrown out and scramblers should be confiscated on site unless they’re on a dirt track, like in the UK.

This takes place on Gardiner Street and while we’ve seen a better presence of Garda on the beat, there’s clearly more work to do on little scrotes like this.

Hope the lady recovers and the little shits are found.

    2. Instead of dealing with the real issues, they prefer to buy multiple ~~200hp~~ 300hp pursuit cars to chase people who enjoy the speed on motorways, hurting no one…

And now they are buying speed checkers for ebikes and scooters. So the hard working legitimate scooter and ebike riders out there get it in the arse again while the thugs aren’t touched.
Fuck off and give us a break.

I hope she makes a full recovery. That’s just horrendous. You shouldn’t have to be dealing with this kind of thing in the middle of cities and towns.

Seems to be just no willingness to tackle serious anti-social behaviour in Ireland. Everything is met with “Will someone please think of the poor scumbags!!” or “that would be an (e̶q̶u̶m̶i̶n̶i̶c̶a̶l̶) civil matter” or “now, that’s your 892nd chance! Promise the court you won’t do it again! Good man yourself!”

Not the first time we’ve heard a story like this and it certainly won’t be the last. As ridiculous as it sounds, it’ll likely take a pedestrian being killed for them to trigger any real changes. Meanwhile we will keep seeing a rising number of accidents and serious injuries.

Was it a scrambler or an e-scooter? Is there e-scramblers now? By God

Unfortunately Dublin city needs a manned CCTV policing solution.

That’s terrible, I hope she makes a full recovering.

E-scrambler rider didn’t remain at the scene – what a shock. You mean someone who is roaring through red lights and pulling wheelies on a main road didnt wait around after they ran someone over? Jaysus – colour me shocked!

I walk home this way most days – from chapters up parnell, cross gardiner street towards summerhill. Everyday, everyday without fail there’s at least a few of these warm organ donors tearing thorugh traffic. I used to call the guards, specially when I saw them dealing to kids across from the health centre but my wife advised me to stop, saying it was a waste of a call
