Oh nee, wie had dit zien aankomen /s? En alweer zijn scholen en leerkrachten de dupe van ondoordacht beleid en mogen ze het nu zelf oplossen met een eigen beleid uit te werken. Godgeklaagd dit.

I agree that is good to reduce the excessive use of screens at the school, specially in primary education and the early years of secondary. Not even speaking about smartphones…
Of course, screens are necessary for certain subjects, but for the rest it is just a distraction.

If the plan is to get kids to be more IT-literate. Chromebooks are IMO the worst option. They run an OS no work computer uses and they are used to a walled system where you can’t do anything. End result: kids use an OS on their laptop which is just a tablet with a keyboard and know nothing about Windows or macOS.

Meanwhile on radio news, focus is more on forced obedience to the teacher.
Which later in life leads to normalization of workplace abuse. Once you learn not to question leader figures, you question nobody. Workplace abuse is one of many consequences of that.
Another is the belief that nothing can change in life, that you can’t control anything about your life bigger than the clothes you wear and where you go each day. Certainly not politics, wages, and the market.
And this is the intent of such systems: to brainwash you in to believing such things.
It’s similar to how movies, and how you can’t get funding for a project aiming at people over 50. Marketing doesn’t work on those people as well, as most of them grew up in a period without constant TV and social media. They haven’t been conditioned from birth to think these things are normal.
Same with ideologies like the one Demir is spouting: condition them from birth, and get eternal obedience, even as future political generations bring back slavery.

Da we eens terug naar pen en papier gaan tot einde middlebaar. Dat werkte 10 jaar geleden ook nog. Zal nu ook nog wel werken.

Funny thing is raar schools are forbidding students to charge their laptops. But laptops are required for some courses… daughter of a friend had to do a test at the end of the day due to being sick previously. Her laptop was on 2% when she finished… wasn’t allowed to plug it in…
The electricity bills are too high due to all the charging devices.
Teachers in that school were not allowed to charge personal devices like phones and e-bikes…
Some of them don’t get adequate computers from the school

Kindergeld moet maar genoeg zijn en tweedehands is ook meer dan oké. Krijg wel flashbacks naar die klaslokalen met out dated pc’s.
