Tesla market share down 40% compared to May last year – Awesome.

at this point , even if you’re not a fan of EVs, the oil car infrastructure around you is simply going to collapse and you’re going to see diseconomies of scale for ICE cars
* gas stations will gradually close or replace gas pumps with EV chargers; filling up a diesel car will soon become harder to do than charging an EV, you might need to drive tens of kms to do so
* there are fewer oil-powered cars on the road each day, as they are gradually replaced
* car mechanics and car parts availability for ICE cars is also going to decline rapidly, making their repair more expensive
vans are also rapidly going electric, with a record 59% of all new vans sold in April in Norway being electric, and 46% so far this year
only trucks remain as a stronghold for ICE vehicles on the road and that not for long time

how much aid does norway offer on an ev’s costs again?

I remember the headlines a couple years ago about how Norway is going to stop selling new Gasoline cars by 2025, so is this the last year of the Gasoline and Diesel cars?

I’ve been in the EV business for over a decade now. The one use case that still sucks for EV is for those like me who don’t drive much on a daily basis and have no off street parking for charging convenience. When I drive, it’s usually long distance so fuel savings are not a thing at all.

Norwegians are so so hypocritical – buying EVs with oil money.

I hate electric cars with a passion. First off, they’re dangerous in the sense that you can barely hear them, and literally can’t hear them from a certain distance away. It’s not my fault if I cross the road where there’s a heavily obstructed corner, and I get hit by an electric car going 40mph. Until electric cars are as loud as diesel and petrol cars, I’ll stand by this point.
90% of electric car designs are also just really ugly. Setting aside Tesla’s controversies, Tesla’s just look awful, I don’t know how anyone could see otherwise. Petrol and diesel cars in general are just cooler than electric cars as well, and no one can deny that. I will buy and drive petrol/diesel cars exclusively until the day I die. Fuck electric cars.

Question how are road repairs paid for in Norway? Do u have a fuel tax? Or a yearly car tax? Or is it just a government expense.

There is a tipping point where once enough people get electric cars, the infrastructure becomes more and more built out which makes it more attractive for more people to get electric cars.

And it kind of sucks, still nothing on the market that can rival my now 12 year old cheap car :/

Point stands: Bensin > ev because it smells nicer and it explodes better.

Nice, very nice.
Now, let’s take a look at exports

Which models?
