Marvel’s protagonist Alexei Shostakov appears in a post-credits scene wearing a suit with the word “Avengers” spelled out with a “Z”. Considering the character’s origin, this joke seems even more tone-deaf. This joke causes outrage among Ukrainians. Russian soldiers use the letter “Z” as an analog of the swastika. They paint it on tanks and weapons. Russian prison guards cut out the letter “Z” on the faces of some Ukrainian POWs.

I don’t think it’s anything intentional, probably trying to make a joke about russian accents I guess, but I’m not sure

I was thinking this when i watched this movie, how on earth could it not be an obvious association given present events? Moronic thing to add to the movie

I doubt that’s intentional. In American culture adding a z on the end of something sort of illustrates someone’s lack of education while trying to be cool. They should digitally remove it from the film though.

Can’t see it being intentional at all, but at least an oversight.

Well, that’s an easy boycott. Their movies have been getting shit anyway.
