On May 2, 2025, a special unit of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, in cooperation with the SBU and the Defense Forces of Ukraine, shot down a Russian Su-30 *twin-seater supermaneuverable fighter* in the Black Sea – this was the first destruction of a combat aircraft by a naval drone in the world.

The jet isn’t popping any kind of flares and doesn’t appear to be taking evasive maneuvers. Chances are the crew has no idea there was a missile heading for them before the jet exploded. Superior Russian countermeasures system working as well as one would expect…
We have known for a while like more than 3 months that Ukraine could shoot guided missiles from their drone boats. So we were surprised that Russia only Just reported that Ukraine can shoot guided missiles.
