The sooner countries realize that they are better off sending most of their weapons to Ukraine in order to stop Russia than they would be keeping it and having to fight Russia themselves.

UK is also retiring their Warrior IFV fleet, decommissioning them, supposedly, this year, but extended it to 2030. There are 632 units of different variants and types, in active service, and the first batch awaiting disposal is around 80 units.

If I remember correctly, there is still a “petition appeal” (not sure if this is the correct term) in a government website, on what parliament should do with said vehicles. Speaking of retiring vehicles, Sweden sent all 200 PBV 302 APCs, bound for decommissioning, to Ukraine. A bit outdated but still better (especially in terms of armor) than the older BMP and MTLB units currently in Ukraine’s inventory. Maybe UK could decide to follow Sweden’s example and send at least the first 80 units (close to the number of APCs sent).

80 vehicles as a start could equip at least 2 brigades with additional armored vehicles. If Ukraine receives them, it will grant them extra firepower, protection and mobility, plus certain variants can fulfill other roles and support (such as: 1. casevac, 2. command, 3. recovery, 4. even air defense, courtesy of the VERDI variant). The regular variant alone can carry up to 10 troops (+3 vehicle crew members), plus armed with a 30 mm cannon.
