Sometimes I had lectures which basically boiled down to your screenshot. In those cases I would supplement what I couldn’t understand with readings. In general however, you’re expected to follow up on lectures with readings since lecturer notes were never intended to be enough.
Granted I was in Uni in 2016-19 and 2021-2022 so there might have be some differences.
