Mi piace la Grecia e stavo guardando in quest’area e ho trovato alcuni villaggi freddi. Questo posto ha un nome? Spero non solo Didymoteicho o Orestiada, ma un nome distinto per tutta questa area.

It’s called The Pin.
Gatzolia or “the pin”.
That’s where I served 😂 someone else mentioned Gatzolia and it is indeed the nickname I was taught as well
It doesn’t really have a name, some people call it Triethnes (three nations), because it’s where Greece Bulgaria and Turkey meet. It’s not really accurate though

The most common one is Triethnes Evrou as another commenter said above. North Evros or “The Pin” would be a couple others.

It’s actually know as “triethnes” – or else, three nations – I indeed served in the army up there, like 20 years ago.
The whole orange area is called Thrace(Θράκη).
The right half is Evros Prefecture(Νομός Εύρου).
The top part of this prefecture is the Municipality of Orestiada(Δήμος Ορεστιάδας).
