“Era imperdonabile tenere il memoriale per un assassino di massa accanto a dove sono state sepolte le sue vittime”, afferma la sorella di Clodagh Hawe

Feels like the priest had no compassion or moral decency for victims or the family of them
In Deadly Silence, her new book detailing the aftermath of her sister’s murder, Ms Connolly said Hawe had met with the priest to discuss the issue at the school. Despite a request from gardaí and Clodagh’s family, Fr Kelly refused to share the details of what they discussed, citing “confessional privilege”.
Ms Connolly said the priest had also put the family under pressure to organise a funeral quickly.
She said had the family had more time, they probably would not have agreed to allow Hawe to be buried alongside his victims. Though Clodagh’s family did not know it at the time, a note left by Hawe had asked that he not be. His body was later exhumed from the plot.
