Back from the walk in Kilcock, beautiful morning for it.
Lots of people out too, much bigger attendance than last year.

To those of you who got up and did the walk well done but I have to ask, what else are you planning to do this year to support people with mental health struggles? Everyone is “too busy” these days to keep up with friends and family and check in on how they are. If you can make time to get up for a walk and a selfie for a few hours then please make time for people in your life who may be lonely.

The influencers have thrown this fad into the bin and its poetic as they never gave a fuck about mental health anyway, nor do a lot of people who rocked up to these just to post their selfie in their yellow tshirt so they can get likes on their story.

Fair play to anyone who did it.
In the past few years this event always gets a bizarre pushback on this sub. I’ll expect to see it in the comments here today too.
Edit: they’re here already.

Can’t believe the amount of people moaning in the comments. No doubt today’s event will change someone’s mind who was thinking of suicide. Try and be a bit more positive instead of moaning about an important event.

For those wondering why Pieta house and this event draw a lot of criticism. While advocating for mental health work is a good thing, they do not seem to provide an overly positive impact to people who are in need of assistance.
