For context, there used to be a Burgundian palace in Brussels, a palace that brought awe into people and was absolutely incredible, over time it got destroyed, and burned down. Instead of removing the ruins they simply buried them, put a public park on top, some roads and, part of the current palace. They’ve dug up the remains of this old palace but due to all the modern infrastructure being on top of it, they made it a sort of underground museum, so you can hear traffic right above your head if you walk around in there.
