    1. They should start. Being a citizen of nazi country should be a pain in the ass.

      >many [Russians] understand English, so they could easily access European media, too. Yet, they only rely on Russian sources.

      >The answer I often hear is, “Everyone lies.” They’re willing to accept the lies from Russian propaganda, but they won’t even consider competing narratives from other sources.

That’s the main problem in today’s world. People stop checking the facts, they go for a comfort.

Why read about your country horrible war crimes? Better to read how your enemies manufacture propaganda against your innocent ass.

      It’s weaponized confirmation bias.

Eh, whether they do or don’t doesn’t matter either way. What are they gonna do, storm the Kremlin with putchforks? Protest rallies? Angry tweets? Putin’s forces will demolish any resistance. 3 years of this circlejerk: “WHY RUSSIANS ARE NOT DOING ANYTHING”, are you not tired yet?

Most Germans also “did not care” about the “final solution”. That is to no small part also a psychological defense strategy of people knowing that their country is committing unheard of crimes against humanity. The less one knows, the better one can sleep.

When Russian lives suck so hard they really don’t care about anything

Russia’s actions are impoverishing the next two generations of their family and they don’t even care. How do you get through to such demoralised sheep?

I get that it’s likely because of a long history of propaganda practices over there, but I wonder if this is also a symptom of being such a massive country geographically.

Like. Why should somebody over in Omsk really care about what’s happening in Kursk? It’s like having somebody from Tanzania caring about Morocco.
