Fuck sake he could have killed that shop worker. Scumbag with over 50 convictions and Judge White thinks it’s ok it up his sentence from 3 months to 6 months but then suspends it for 12 months. Wonder if the judge took a wine bottle to the head would she be so forgiving

She told Connors: “Your behaviour is really unacceptable. I hope this will be a learning curve.”

56 learning curves he’s been on, only thing he’s learning is the justice system is soft.

***The court heard that Jim Connors has 55 previous convictions, including those for road traffic offences, burglary, public order violations and theft.***

**Judge Catherine White told Connors: “Your behaviour is really unacceptable. I hope this will be a learning curve.”**

Judge Catherine White you are the only person in Ireland who puts any hope in that belief

Good God ! No pun intended, but what a slap in the face to the worker that was assaulted. the man has several convictions and the judge hopes that he will learn from it? WTF?

    5. I feel like every town knows at least 1 scumbag who is constantly on suspended sentences or was released early.

Why is there no mention of the victim of the assault victims’ injuries? Did they require hospital treatment? Did they lose an eye? Or was it just a black eye?

    7. Kruikshanks on

I don’t think that judge knows what “learning curve” means.

Not only should he be in prison for a long time, but Judge White and the judges from his last ~50 convictions should have to share a prison cell with him.

What the fuck is wrong with these judges? How is it possible to get to that position while being so out of touch with daily reality?

    10. “It’s okay, the assault was only on some poor immigrant earning minimum wage so don’t worry about it” – Irish criminal justice system

The Irish “justice system” strikes again.

Once again proving it couldn’t give a flying fuck about the victims of crime, only the criminals.

    12. At this point why bother following the law. That is absolutely shocking stuff

If it wasn’t a shop worker he assaulted he’d be in jail

Apparently it takes 51 second chances before a habitual criminal starts to rehabilitate

Do not forget that these are the 56 things this bane of society was caught and prosecuted for … You can guarantee there is daily instances of some kind of illegal antisocial behaviour…

They are notorious in d18. A pain to the community. Just saw the youngest today robbing the Dunnes in Beacon

“I hope this will be a learning curve”
      ~ it was not.

I for one am stunned that the [fully suspended sentence he got six months ago](https://dublinpeople.com/news/court/articles/2024/10/14/man-who-crashed-into-taxi-and-fled-scene-avoids-jail-time/) for a hit and run didn’t do the trick (and doesn’t seem to have been considered by the judge when putting him on a double suspended sentence), though I can’t help but wonder if his address at [Tig Mo Chroi, Glenamuck Road](https://www.dlrcoco.ie/sites/default/files/atoms/files/traveller_accommodation_programme_2019-2024.pdf) had something to do with it. Only in the sense that such a long commute must be a mitigating factor, of course.

Honestly who cares about the turd with 55 convictions. Let them rot.

Oh wait, the spineless judge places the criminals well being above that of his next victim. Pathetic.
