I just googled Buttercup Park in Darndale and my only conclusion is that it’s not terribly surprisingly that we end up with these characters in society when we’ve constructed such awful urban developments and make poor people live there.

I’m assuming she has a whole load of previous convictions and was given a suspended sentence with the judge noting “Hopefully this will set you on the right path” or some other bullshit.
Edit: I also imagine the judge was accepting all sorts of mitigating circumstances such as “she normally has Corn Flakes for breakfast but there were none in the house so she was upset” or “She’s a good woman generally, apart from all her other convictions” or maybe “Her mammy will miss her if she gets sent to prison”
Almost two years after the attack and nothing has happened to the assaulter… Makes you proud of paying taxes…
