      What’s more likely?

      – Some anonymous ‘establishment’ is engaged in a conspiracy to doctor a fake sex tape with a presidential candidate, and somehow a news anchor who’s supportive of said candidate knows about it in advance (but doesn’t present evidence).

      – There actually exists a sex tape with said presidential candidate and someone is about to release it, and somehow a news anchor who’s supportive of said candidate knows about it in advance (but doesn’t present evidence).

      – None of the above are true.

      This woman is the Romanian equivalent of Alex Jones for those who are wondering. Completely deluded, not a journalist, just a propagandist and conspiracy theorist.

      That said, there are a lot of rumors around Simion’s real sexuality so I wouldn’t be surprised if a tape of something does exist.

      In the very few (medium scale) real conspiracies I was aware of, there was that aspect of advanced damage control.

      It actually worked and the real information actually never got out.

      Today if I were someone looking for public power down the road, I would pay people to organize fake smearing campaigns early on and defuse any future kompromat.

      Oh, the irony of Romanians not caring that the guy is human scum, a hooligan that never worked a day in his life and voting for him.

      And now, changing their mind after finding out he is gay.

      Traditional moral values: the common folk voting for the teflon politician whatever he does. But gay, no way!

      I wonder if in another universe the born again Christians would have still voted for a gay Trump, because the guy checked all the boxes in the “thou shall not..” list, and they still did not care.
