Is it a case that if you leave a property go derelict in ireland, you’re more likely to get planning for something a little more extreme?
Sounds like we need to increase the derelict levies to a percentage of the value of the property and then use it to seize the assets.
Quite ironic really
One thing I find hilarious is that up until recently, the building was displaying a banner promoting construction safety:

And then it spontaneously falls down, narrowly missing a pedestrian and a cyclist.
Then, the CIF says they “have taken prompt measures to cordon off the area for public safety.”
Which is just actually putting up a few cones and tape to make people walk out on the road!
€140k for a site worth €23m.
Why do we even bother charging derelict levies is they’re going to be pocket change?
How much do their members owe?
