These rents and conditions are getting to the point of societal collapse. We’ve been here before. The landlord problem was fixed in a certain way.

If only we could build more houses and apartments. I bet in 100 years it will be the same story, nothing will ever change.

There is no one silver bullet for this problem.

We can immediately prevent the Department for social protection from using hotels, convert them back to tourist use and this will alleviate a small amount of the combination woes.

Arrest and deport people who have no legal right to live here and have previously failed asylum tests yet haven’t left. Over time this will free up hundreds of beds in the city.

For people who say the city shouldn’t be for tourists it should be for people who live there, I would remind them that tourism is directly responsible for tens of thousands of jobs in the city and county. Right now many tourists are using air B&B because they cannot get hotel rooms. Guess what’s not helping that?

One of the main drivers of increased housing demand is outside EU legal migration. This seriously needs to be looked at.

It seems that many politicians and officials are patriotic for every country besides this one?

People might not like to hear this but as the way things are.
