3…2…1… there’s no business of that name here. This is a brand new car wash, with all the same assets. The previous owner? Oh yeah he was my cousin but he doesn’t work here.

Do I think this is wrong? God no, but like… they could spend a weekend in Sunderland inspecting a few streets and we’d have the GDP of China and the USA on a good day.
Why doesn’t this stuff happen more? Like, they don’t even hide it. If you can find a carwash that: A) Accepts card and B) Hires non-illegal workers I reckon you found a unicorn.
I mean yeah I know the company will dissolve, all its profits moved overseas and reformed in a week, but how can they even do that, and how can’t we close that loop. Would be nice if we even pretended to be interested in stopping it.
When I was young hand car washes *simply did not exist,* we had **machines** that did all this work.
Unfortunately, these British machines got lazy, demanded too much cash, and decided the work was beneath them so now there is no alternative to having immigrants do this work for the feckless natives.
Good stuff, although like the other comments say, the fine is nominal because he’ll just declare bankruptcy and have his brother set up a company that buys out all the assets and starts again. But if immigration enforcement keep visiting then it will become too annoying to keep operating, so it’s still worth doing.
