      It seems that the European market is becoming a secondary thought for companies. Sony has announced rising prices in the EU because of US tariffs. It’s a troubling development.

      Apparently 24TB is too much for our delicate European sensibilities. Better stick to 512MB USB sticks and cheese wheels

      This only applies to their “NAS” branded consumer drives. The professional “Cloud Scale” line that is actually cheaper, despite a (much) longer warranty, is available in 24TB, at least here in Germany.

      “Cloud Scale” is aimed at hyperscalers, similar to Seagate “Exos” or Western Digital “Ultrastar”, but normal retailers have them in stock as well.

      Seagate and Western Digital offer 24TB and even 26TB drives in various models, of course.

      I’m going to guess that this has to do with the required minimum warranties.

      That’s funny because I plan to change my older 8TB with a 24TB soon from Seagate to sit alongside my 18TB Exos X18.
