So all tanks disappeared from the russkie reserves. It’s not necessarily alarming: once they’ll turn into smoking pile of trash, as it is business as usual nowadays, there will be no more to send to the front lines.

Did I misunderstand something? It sounds like good news.*

Depleted ruski tank reserves means less of them on Ukranian fields.
means improved chances for better Ukranian outcomes.

      *(The headline “alarming” confuses me)

The title might be translated from a word that doesn’t have a direct translation to English, “alarming” is the closest. Maybe.
But they still have over 1,200 tanks left with the ability to restore or upgrade about 50 a month. Which means they still have a couple years worth.

Those tank left in storage are probably in such bad shape that they are very hard to restore. It can also be the leftovers after tank cannabalism.

I wonder how many tanks they have left to protect actual russian land. they must not think it will be invaded. Pringles showed us that you can get quite close to moscow with a concentrated effort because the armor wasn’t there to defend the city.
