Just couldn’t make it up. The only saving grace, is that if Trump continuously sides with Russia, he will find himself increasingly isolated and humiliated both domestically and internationally.
All leaders, no matter how powerful, only have a certain amount of “leadership capital” to spend. Trump is fast burning through his, and it will, at some point, culminate in a climbdown.
In the meantime, Europe (alongside Canada) need to ramp up the support to Ukraine. 🇪🇺 🙏🇺🇦

Trump is going to support Russian demands about Ukraine retreating from the “4 oblasts”, which is obviously a non-starter for Ukraine, then Trump will blame Ukraine, remove sanctions from Russia and stop all aid to Ukraine. I hope Europe is ready to increase support substantially.

Trump is visibly monumentally incompetent and a malicious liar, but he always was. Jeez go look up that old Barbara Walters interview with The Dumold. Damn, she went after him with a strap-on and spanked him silly. But I digress. This one is malicious and not a mere error of judgment.
Trump sides with Russia because, as he publicly states repeatedly and his aides privately confirm, he is fixated on a reputation as a dictator conqueror of Canada and/oror Greenland and more. Only a maximum threat Russia balls deep in Europe can serve that goal. Note the aggressive surrenders and reductions Trump is doing at any US bases that could impact Russia. Poland and Rumania and Germany are noticing.
The article doesn’t make it seem as bleak as the title suggests. Not that I expect Trump to do the right thing, when that happens it’s purely an accident.
