Dude, it’s been proven over and over again that exit polls are not to be trusted. And these don’t count the expats who seem to overwhelmingly vote for the worst option for our country. I want to celebrate, but not prematurely. Let’s wait just a few more hours.

We’re not that stupid
Seeing the trend now and analyzing the previous elections, I can bet that ND will have more than 54%. And is very hard to change the ballots now, because there are cameras in the election stations and the procedure is to show every vote to the camera and then be counted. Big cities, that voted majority ND, will be counted last, and now the trend is that rural voted more for ND than it was expected.

Not really that relevant but the Wikipedia page for the election currently has Skibidi Toilet losing against Donald Trump. Go check it if it hasn’t been fixed yet.
The thing that bothers me is not that the right candidate is winning, but that the wrong candidate is picking up about 10x more votes than they should ever have. Think about how close this is, if it would have been *just* 5% more it would be a race to the wire. And Simion did just about everything wrong. A slightly better candidate and he’d have taken home the win.
Romania does not want to be alone in the dark anymore. We are having better and better politicians and that’s nice to see!
Guys, it’s done, Nicusor will be president of Romania! After having more than 90% of votes counted, the same results cand be observed: 54% vs 46% for the pro-EU centrist candidate Nicusor Dan. This is so relieving and I feel super proud of my fellow romanians for fending off this huge russian threat. EU stands strong here!
