hi, Turkish citizen here. I belive that aevy type of racisim/nationalism is irrational. YOU cant explain why you like/dislike a nation without involving your emotions. ME personally, i dont hate armenians, but i dont love them either. i love/hate an armenian person, not the entire nation. for gebnocide, in our schools, they basicly never show us anything abuot it. There isnt a single paragraph i remmebr that says “we killed armenians” or “we never hurt armenians”. Oh, well, we have somehting like “Armenians used to be loyal to ottomans, but with the help of russian, UK and france, they rebel agginst us” somthing like that. What i mean is that, im not affected by these “propoganda” BS. i never did a research on Armenian genocide either. but, can millions of people lie? like, 96 percent of countries accept it? so.. im guessing maybe it was real? and i dont get why the goverment never apoligized? its just a simple sorry… in a nutshell (i yap alot lol), just scratching a nations flag is soo stupid, as a turklish person i think armenina genocide is, well, probably real.

As a Turk, I apologize for this insolence. Turks are brainwashed from preschool years to view Armenians as the “Other.” I remember being in first grade, yes, first grade, and having to sit through some lecture about how Armenians rebels in the east would descend on Turkish villages and cut out the fetus from pregnant women etc.
Of course, even if these exaggerated tales were true, it wouldn’t have justified rounding up and massacring Armenians everywhere in Anatolia.
The moral arch of the universe does bend towards justice and someday, Turkey will acknowledge this crime against humanity and the descendants of the survivors will be able to visit not as foreigners but as native Anatolians.
