I’d be surprised if this went well for them. Their value proposition isn’t what it once was and this will only make things worse

Aer Lingus are cheaper on many routes now and they don’t have the the shit customer service or baggage issues like Ryanair

Forced to endure them to some smaller UK airports. The spamming drives me nuts, especially when it’s for a bag or a seat selection I’ve already purchased.

Ryanair are just starting to shoot themselves in the foot a bit lately, and having almost always flown with them, I’ve found myself just paying the extra bit for Aer Lingus recently.

The constant fear your bag won’t fit, the fact employees get commission on bags that don’t fit too doesn’t help, and the pettiness over wheels not fitting etc.. Plus constantly trying to sell you something on the plane.

I get it’s no frills attached, and it’s fine jumping across the channel to the UK, but any further I’m leaning towards Aer Lingus for the stress free life.

The reason i needed to stop using them altogether. Their prices are very similar to other airlines as soon as you start adding baggage. Their staff are mostly miserable and make you feel like you’re a nuisance. Not worth the few sausages you save.

Their recent (it would appear) decision to go ham on bag sizing (wheels stick out? Slight protuberance over their sizer? That’ll be €70 please, with a bag that you’ve used to fly with them a dozen times without issue before) means that I will not fly with them any longer unless there is literally no other option, the stress and hassle of flying with them is worth paying a few Bob extra to someone else..

If your circumstances have allowed you to fly with a more expensive carrier then good for you but this is a Clickbait News Headline. Ticket prices increases will be small and only if demand is strong.

Ryanair carried over 200 million passengers in the last year. They are the largest in Europe by passenger numbers. Ryanair have the best balance sheet in the Industry and practically no debt.

The increases in their share price reflect the strength of the company and they are no go-to choice for flights. I travel light, don’t purchase ancilliaries and interact with the Staff as little as possible. They are the one reason why I can afford to visit Friends and Relatives and also go on short trips to new places on a regular basis.
