      I hate that people are allowed to vote to give away the liberties of their people, liberties they themselves enjoy while living in democratic states, to right-wing wanna-be dictators.

      The way I see it, whoever voted for the so called “conservative” and is residing in Europe, should be deported back to Romania and never allowed back to other European countries.

      Same goes for my countryman, who vote for pro Russian government and reside in Europe.

      The explanation is quite simple – the Romanian diaspora is largely agriculture workers and some other blue collar jobs.

      These professions are going hard to the far right in almost every European country.

      This social class of Romanian society is also very religious and Georgescu (and then Simion) had the priests promote their propaganda in rural areas of Romania and in Romanian churches abroad.

      The educated Romanian expats who understand what Europe stands for voted for Dan. The average plumber in Belgium and strawberry picker in Spain thinks Simion will make Romania great, Christian and they won’t be plumbers and fruit pickers for the West.
