Ciao a tutti, non ho mai richiesto la mia assicurazione di responsabilità civile, ma oggi è successo un incidente in cui ho messo una nave calda sulla cima della cucina e ha lasciato il segno bruciato sulla stazione. Ho provato di tutto per rimuovere, ma sembra che la superficie sia stata laminata, quindi ha bruciato il film di superficie. Ho parlato con il mio padrone di casa e lei mi ha suggerito di richiedere l’assicurazione. Dato che potrebbe esserci possibilità, hanno cambiato l’intero piatto. Ho un’assicurazione Allianz e mentre segnala il danno che chiedono costi stimati. Cosa dovrei mettere lì? Inoltre, il mio padrone di casa otterrà ciò che chiedo o più o meno in termini di costo? If insurance doesnt pay, just re-laminate yourself. Look up a youtube video. Way cheaper than replacing the whole slab.
edit: and maybe use some burn proof material… its a kitchen counter for petes sake I dunno why they used such weak material.
Usually, your landlord would contact a craftsman to get an estimate, that you can send to your insurance. How much the insurance pays depends on your insurance contract. They can insure the current value (Zeitwert) or the replacement value. In the first case they would pay what a used counter is worth, not the price of the new one.
How old is this countertop? Keep in mind, your only liable for the Zeitwert.
First you need to check whether the insurance even covers rented kitchens. Check the contract, not all of them do.
Then you will need an repair estimate, so either hire someone or get your landlord to send someone over. That‘s the cost you can claim towards the insurance.
You should then decide whether that cost is high enough that it makes sense to use your liability insurance (they can terminate your contract after each claim). Be smart about it and don’t claim if the cost is manageable.
